BIDAR: In an inhumane incident, nude photos of deceased women were taken at the BRIMS hospital mortuary by a staffer. Following the incident, a complaint has been lodged with the police.
The heinous and perverse act was committed by a mortuary room attendant, identified as Muneer Ahamed. During the time of post-mortem examination, Muneer allegedly took photos of deceased women’s bodies after removing their clothes on his mobile phone without permission.
Due to Muneer’s act, the dignity of the deceased women, the honor of their families, and medical confidentiality have been violated. As soon as the staffer’s heinous act came to light, Dr Mosin Ul Haq, head of the mortuary hospital, filed a case at the New Town Police Station under Sections 301 and 62 of the BNS Act.
At BRIMS, patients already struggle to get treatment while alive, and now even after death, bodies are not getting peace. The fact that such a heinous act has come to light at BRIMS Hospital, which has a female director, has caused outrage.
