RAICHUR: Villagers caught and confronted the staff of a gas agency who were supplying gas cylinders overnight, at Salagunda in Sindhanur taluk. They alleged that cylinders meant for customers were being supplied at night to be sold in the black market.
People have been struggling in front of the Bharat Gas agency for a week. Customers have been spending day and night in front of the agency, and they confronted the agency manager and staff. When people went home after not getting cylinders, transportation happened at night, and people expressed outrage that the agency is illegally transporting gas cylinders.
They alleged that those who booked two months ago are not being given cylinders, which are instead being sold in the black market. The villagers also said that even after complaining to the police, no action has been taken.
