BENGALURU: To curb corruption, misuse, and bring transparency, the Revenue Department has effected several changes to the rules. New rules have also been implemented regarding RTC (pahaṇi), caste certificates, change of residence, and OTP.
Earlier, people were struggling due to technical issues and delays in several revenue services. Now, new rules have been introduced to ensure work is done faster and to prevent people from being made to run from pillar to post. Changes have been made to the rules for Atalji Janasnehi Kendras, Deputy Commissioners, and tahsildar services.
Changes in revenue services to benefit people
- Officials cannot physically make corrections to RTCs.
- Physical correction of RTCs is prohibited.
- RTC corrections must be done only through the RRT software.
- Changes have been made in the software of Atalji Janasnehi and Nada Kacheris.
- To prevent corruption, operator logins in Nada Kacheris have been removed.
- A service-wise FIFO system has been implemented in Tahsildar and Deputy Tahsildar logins.
- Revenue Inspectors must dispose of caste certificate and other applications through Tahsildar and Deputy Tahsildar logins.
- In the residence confirmation certificate, there is provision to enter the previous place of residence.
- If the Aadhaar card has an address from another state, the previous place of residence can be entered.
- Instead of a One-Time OTP, a One-Day OTP rule has been introduced in Tahsildar, Deputy Tahsildar, and Sub-Divisional Officer logins.
