BENGALURU: A human skull and bones were found on the bed of Muguluru lake near Sarjapur in Anekal taluk on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Saturday. Shepherds noticed the remains and informed the police.
Additional SP Venkatesh Prasanna and Deputy SP Gopal Naik visited the spot. The SOCO team examined the skull and bones at the scene. A saree was found at the location, leading to suspicion that the remains are of a woman.
It is suspected that she may have drowned in the lake. Due to summer, the water level had receded and it is suspected that dogs may have dragged the skeletal remains around. The Sarjapur police have registered a case and are investigating.
