BENGALURU: An FIR has beeen registered against social media influencer Sadhana Shetty at the Jayanagar police station on charges of blackmail after she demanding Rs 1.5 crore from a man and threatening him with their private photos and videos.
The complaint was filed by one Karthik Putha, the owner of HK Permanent Makeup Clinic in Jayanagar. Karthik had met Sadhana for the promotion of his clinic. After the meeting, the two became close and grew intimate. During this time, Sadhana Shetty allegedly kept their private photos and videos.
Later, she allegedly threatened to inform his family if he did not pay Rs 1.5 crore. Frightened, Karthik gave Rs 5 lakh online and Rs 5 lakh in cash. Sadhana Shetty also took a gold ring worth Rs 30,000, a gold chain worth Rs 70,000, and an Apple phone worth Rs1.5 lakh.
After taking all this, Sadhana Shetty again demanded Rs 1.5 crore. When he didn’t pay, Sadhana Shetty sent the photos and videos to Karthik’s wife on WhatsApp. This led to fights at home and family issues.
Finally, Karthik has filed a complaint at Jayanagar police station who have issued a notice and summoned her for investigation. Accused Sadhana Shetty has stated that she does not have any videos with her. Jayanagar police are continuing the investigation.
