BENGALURU: An FIR has been registered against four people, including a KSCA member, for selling IPL tickets at double the price in the black market. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police conducted a sting operation and trapped those who were selling tickets at double the price.
Chandrashekar, the captain of Lakshmi Caterers at Chinnaswamy Stadium, who was selling IPL tickets in black, was nabbed CCB police net. During interrogation, Chandrashekar revealed that he was selling tickets at higher prices along with KSCA member Ganesh Harikesh.
Ganesh Harikesh had procured tickets online from two private companies and was getting them sold at inflated prices through Chandrashekar. The accused had sold 81 tickets in black during the first match.
Chandrashekar, who was preparing to sell around 100 tickets for the LSG-RCB match, was caught and arrested through a sting operation. An FIR has been registered against Chandrashekar, Ganesh Harikesh, and the two private companies. Chandrashekar has been arrested, and a search is on for Ganesh.
