CHAMARAJANAGAR: A controversy has erupted in Chamarajanagar after a KSRTC bus conductor issued Shakti scheme free travel ticket meant for women to a male passenger.
The conductor issued a ticket to a male passenger travelling from Chamarajanagar to Madapur station, charging him Rs 10 but gave him a women’s ticket for free travel. The conductor’s reasoning that there was no other ticket available has sparked outrage on social media.
The incident has raised questions about the implementation of the Shakti scheme and the accountability of KSRTC staff. The passenger has decided to file a complaint with the KSRTC officials.
