BENGALURU: A woman was arrested by the Parappana Agrahara police for trying to smuggle contraband into the Parappana Agrahara central jail. She had hidden beedi, ganja, and three SIM cards in her private parts, wrapped in a cover, to pass them to inmate Farhan Khan.

Ritika Rai (27) had obtained a visitor’s pass and was acting suspiciously during the inspection. A search by female staff revealed the hidden items. Police arrested her based on a complaint from jail authorities.

This isn’t her first offence; she’s been arrested before for similar activities and was out on bail. However, she has been arrested again for attempting to smuggle in contraband into the jail.
