Police chief orders checks against rash, drunk driving

BENGALURU: The city police have launched a special drive to crack down on reckless driving, following a recent surge in deadly riding incidents.

Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh has instructed officers to be alert, especially at night, and to also take action based on CCTV footage. Citizens have also been asked to note down the details of vehicles involved in such incidents and report them to the control room.

The police will take action against those who drive under the influence of alcohol, as it poses a risk to their own lives. Officers have been instructed to note down the time and location of violations and take necessary action.
