Nagamangala residents approach police to reduce sound of azan on loudspeakers

MANDYA: Residents of Nagamangala have filed a complaint with the police, requesting that the sound level of the loudspeakers during Azan at the Jamia Masjid be reduced. The loud sound from the mosque’s loudspeaker is causing disturbance to nearby residents, who claim it’s affecting their daily lives.

Locals from Kumbara Street, Banajiga Street, Achar Street and Paduvallapatna Road have approached the police, stating that the excessive sound is causing discomfort, especially for children and the elderly. The Azan is broadcast four to five times a day, starting at 5.30 am, and the loud sound is causing inconvenience to those living nearby.

The residents are requesting the police to take action and reduce the sound level to a more acceptable range.
