VIJAYAPURA: Two people died on the spot and two others were injured after a cement lorry and two motorcycles collided on the Vijayapura-Jamkhandi road, outside Babaleshwar town in Vijayapura district.
The deceased were identified as Kashinath Bidari (43) and Satish Shinde (38), both from Vijayapura city. The injured were taken to the district hospital.
The accident occurred when the cement lorry (KA 28 D 0871) collided with the two bikes (KA 28 HQ 1947 and KA 32 HN 0787). The lorry overturned, and the bikes were badly damaged.
The Babaleshwar police shifted the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem and taken up further investigation.
