Two women arrested for running prostitution ring, victims rescued

The arrest of an accused in a sexual assault case led to the uncovering of the prostitution racket.

HASSAN: A major breakthrough has been achieved by the Women’s Police Station here in a human trafficking case. A special task force had gone to arrest a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a minor, but instead, they uncovered a larger human trafficking ring.

The police rescued four women who were being held against their will and forced into prostitution. The main accused Ayesha and Pramila have been arrested. Ayesha has a history of involvement in such activities and has been booked under the POCSO Act.

The police team, led by Inspector Palakshaprabhu, along with Bhanuprakash, Sanjay and Tejaswi, conducted the operation at Guddenahallikoppal in Hassan.
