RAICHUR: A 21-year-old college student from Sikal thanda in Manvi taluk was found dead near the Sindhanur railway station in Raichur. The girl reportedly committed suicide by lying on the railway track.
Before taking her own life, Sumangala recorded an audio clip in Lambani language, stating that she was responsible for her own death and asked her family not to worry about her, saying her life was already ruined.
Sumangala was a first-semester student at the Government Degree College in Sindhanur and was staying in a hostel. She had been facing personal problems and had been struggling with her mental health.
The railway staff tried to save her, but unfortunately, it was too late. The police from Sindhanur city and Raichur railway police visited the scene and conducted an investigation. A case has been registered at the Raichur Railway Police Station.
The reason behind her suicide is still unknown. Sumangala’s family is in shock, and the police have taken up investigation into the matter.
In another case, Dawalsaab (25), from Mehboobi Colony in Sindhanur, committed suicide due to domestic issues. He was living in a rented house in Sindhanur and hanged himself.
Dawalsaab had married three years ago and had a child. Initially, his life was going well, but of late, he had become addicted to alcohol and was constantly quarreling with his family.
The incident occurred in the early on Wednesday when his wife and child were at home. The Sindhanur Town police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
Dawal Sab, a resident of Yeluragi Camp, was struggling with his addiction and family issues, which led to his tragic decision.
