BENGALURU: A security guard died after a sliding gate fell on him at Reliance Smart Bazaar at Bagalagunte on Hesaraghatta Road on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Swami (55).
The incident occurred when Swami, who was on duty, was opening the gate for a goods vehicle. The sliding gate, which lacked safety measures, fell on him, killing him instantly.
The family is grieving, and police have visited the scene to investigate. Swami’s daughters Pallavi and Pavithra claimed that the incident occurred around 11 pm on Wednesday night and expressed their anger at the building owner who had not turned up even after 12 hours on Thursday.
