Govt approves Rs 35 lakh rewards to police personnel for cracking high-profilecases

BENGALURU: The state government has announced cash rewards for police officers and staff who performed well in their duties. A total of Rs 35 lakh has been sanctioned as rewards.

The rewards include Rs 25 lakh for the investigation team that probed the case against former MP Prajwal Revanna, where charges were proven against him. The team consists of 30 officers and staff members, including SIT chief B K Singh, DIG Seema Latkar, SP Suman D Pennekar, ACP Satyanarayan Singh, Inspectors Rao Ganesh Janardhan, Shobha Ji, Sumarani and Hemant Kumar.

These officers and staff members will share the Rs 25 lakh reward. The government’s took a decision to recognise their efforts and contributions to the investigation.
