KOLAR: A few people fell ill after consuming beer that had gone bad, but was sold at Venkat Bar and Restaurant at Hulidenahalli village in Malur taluk on Friday night.
The group of people, who consumed the beer, complained of vomitting, leading to a scuffle with the bar owner. The police arrived at the scene and controlled the situation.
The incident has sparked outrage, with demands for action against the bar owner for selling beer which had passed expiry date. The excise authorities have been informed, and an investigation is likely to follow.
