BELAGAVI: More than 30 farmers, including women and children, were injured, with at least nine of them suffering serious injuries to their hands, legs and back after the vehicle they were travelling in for a farmers’ conference in Mysuru, overturned near Jalikkoppa village in Bailhongal, taluk on Monday.
The accident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The injured, from Garjura village in Bailahongal taluk, were rushed to Belagavi and Bailahongal hospitals. Police visited the scene and an investigation is under way.
