MANGALURU: A four-and-a-half-year-old girl died after collision between autorickshaw and a car near Parpunja Koilattadka Abroad Hall near Kumbra in Puttur.
The autorickshaw, carrying a family, collided with a car. The autorickshaw driver, Hanif Bannur, and his family were heading towards Tinnaladi when the accident occurred.
The car driver allegedly lost control while overtaking a vehicle and crashed into the autorickshaw, causing severe injuries. Shajwa Fatima, Hanif’s daughter, succumbed to her injuries.
Hanif’s wife, mother-in-law and two other children were seriously injured, with two of them being referred to Mangaluru for further treatment. The Puttur Rural police have registered a case.
