HASSAN: Devotees are visiting Hasanamba temple in large numbers, exceeding expectations. Hassan Superintendent of Police Mohammed Sujeetha has written to Deputy Commissioner Latha Kumari, requesting her to take measures to control the crowd.
Devotees from across the state and outside are visiting the Hasanamba temple which is open till October 22. The queue of devotees has reached the road and the space provided for darshana is insufficient. With Deepavali holidays approaching, the number of devotees is expected to increase. If proper measures are not taken to control the crowd, there is a risk of an untoward incident occurring, and the police department won’t be responsible, the letter states.
The temple closed for Naivedya from 2 pm to 3.30 pm on Sunday. Darshan resumed from 3.30 pm till 8 pm on Sunday. The temple will reopen for darshan at 6 am on Monday.
