VIJAYAPURA: The Solapur crime police in Maharashtra have arrested a fake baba, identified as Mohammad Khader Sheikh for duping people by claiming to identify hidden treasures from land.
The accused posed as a fakir and cheated several people in Solapur to the tune of Rs 1.87 crore. He was caught in Vijayapura, where he was in hiding.
The police seized several items used for black magic from his possession. The arrest was made by a team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Dattatray Kale of the Solapur police.
