BENGALURU: The Avalahalli police inspector is planning to write to the Advocate General (AG) to request the quashing of the interim order that prevents arrest against Sonu Nigam.
Sonu Nigam was involved in a music event in the Avalahalli police station limits, where Kannada fans requested him to sing a Kannada song. However, Sonu Nigam’s comparison of Kannada to the Pahalgam attack sparked outrage among pro-Kannada organisations, leading to an FIR being filed against him at the Avalahalli police station.
Sonu Nigam approached the court, which granted him an interim order, directing the police not to arrest him, but to conduct an investigation.
Despite repeated notices and phone calls, Sonu Nigam has failed to cooperate with the investigation. The Avalahalli police have sent him multiple notices and made phone calls requesting him to appear for investigation, but he has not responded.
Due to his non-cooperation, the Avalahalli police are now planning to write to the AG to request to vacate the interim order.
