BENGALURU: The director of the movie ‘KD-The Devil’, Prem, has approached the Chandra Layout police alleging that he was cheated of Rs 4.5 lakh in an online fraud where he was promised two buffaloes from Gujarat. However, he later clarified that he received the buffaloes last week.
Prem claimed that he had paid the money through online transaction to one Vanarajbhai for two buffaloes to start dairy farming. However Vanarajbhai neither gave the buffaloes nor returned the money, Prem claimed.
In the complaint, lodged through his manager and actor Dashavara Chandru, Prem further said that he had sent some of his people to trace Vanarajbhai, but they could not.
Prem said that he first made an advance payment of Rs 25,000 after which Vanarajbhai sent a WhatsApp video of the buffaloes. Later, Prem made further transfers between July 22 and 24. However, later, Vanarajbhai’s phone was switched off, he said.
Following the complaint, Vanarajbhai sent the two buffaloes last week, Prem later clarified. His manager Dashavara Chandru also said that Vanarajbhai’s phone was switched off, but he later sent the two buffaloes.
