HASSAN: A woman drowned to death after the car in which she was travelling plunged into a lake as the driver lost control near Chandanahalli in Belur taluk on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Shwetha (29).
Ravi, who was driving the car, swam to safety after opening the car door. However, Shwetha could not escape from the car and died after drowning.
The Fire and Emergency Services personnel conducted a search along with the police and fished out the body. A case has been registered at the Arehalli police station.
