KALABUARAGI: A 22-year-old college student committed suicide by jumping into the Bennethora Dam backwaters near Kurikota village in Kamalapur taluk of Kalaburagi district.
The deceased has been identified as Sakshi Uppar from Bhusangi village. She allegedly took her own life due to harassment by a youth named Abhishek.
The accused Abhishek had reportedly shared photos of him with Sakshi on social media, which led to her tragic decision. Firefighters are currently searching for Sakshi’s body. The incident occurred in the Mahanga police station limits.
