BENGALURU: Traffic on the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) road will be affected as the Hebbal flyover will be closed in the night time for two days from today to facilitate road works.

Traffic will be barred on the flyover between 11.30 pm and 5 am on Friday and Saturday and again from Saturday night to Sunday morning. Vehicle users have been advised to take alternative routes.

The flyover will be partially shut for traffic for five days.

Traffic coming from the airport will have to take a right turn at the Hebbal circle below the flyover, take the Outer Ring Road towards Tumakuru Road, take a left turn at Kuvempu Circle to enter New BEL Road, proceed up to Sadashivanagar police station and take a left to proceed towards Mehkri Circle.

The airport road has been witnessing traffic jams for up to 3 km due to the ongoing road work. The Hebbal flyover is being expanded with an additional ramp to handle the increasing traffic.
