BALLARI: The Mumbai police have arrested a 25-year-old security guard from Sandur in the district, for creating fake social media accounts and posting obscene photos and videos of women, as well as harassing them. The accused Shubham Kumar Manoj Prasad Singhwas arrested after gathering technical information from Google.
Shubham Kumar, who had done a diploma in computer software in Delhi, was working as a security guard at a private company in Sandur. He accused had created 10 fake accounts and over 90 email IDs in women’s names and posted obscene content. He was arrested based on a complaint filed by a college student. The police recovered 13,500 screenshots of women in compromising positions from the accused’s mobile phone.
He used to harass women by asking them to video call him posing in the nude, and when they refused, he would post obscene content to humiliate them. The police used technical information from Google to track down the accused.
