Soldier who came to sister’s wedding returns to duty on emergency call

BIDAR: Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, a soldier who came to attend his sister’s wedding at his hometown was sent off to duty after family members applied tilak on his forehead. The soldier  had received an emergency call to report back to Indian army service.

The soldier, Basavakiran Biradar, from Chandapur village in Bhalki taluk of Bidar district, is posted in Amritsar, Punjab. His family wished him well, performing aarti and expressing pride in his service.

His sister, Vachanashri, expressed confidence in the Indian Army, saying that soldiers have the blessings of their families and sisters, and will triumph over terrorists.

The family showed courage and patriotism as they sent the soldier back to duty, highlighting the sacrifices made by military families during times of heightened national tension.
