Helplines opened for Karnataka citizens in Kashmir

BENGALURU: The State Tourism Department has appealed to all state-based tour operators and travel agents to furnish details about tourists who have travelled through them to Jammu & Kashmir.

The helpline was opened after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of two Kannadigas. In view of the incident, the state government is making efforts to bring back Kannadigas who are currently on tour in Jammu and Kashmir.

To facilitate this, the government has requested tour operators who have sent tourists to Jammu and Kashmir to provide details of the travelers to the helpline numbers mentioned below. It has also requested relatives or acquaintances of those who have gone to Jammu and Kashmir to provide details of the travellers to the helpline numbers.

The government aims to ensure the safe return of Kannadigas from Jammu and Kashmir.
