Deputy Speaker Rudrappa Lamani shifted to Bengaluru hospital after accident

DAVANAGERE: Deputy Speaker Rudrappa Lamani, who was admitted to a hospital in Davanagere on Friday after an accident, was shifted to the Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru on Saturday for further treatment.

While the health bulletin from the Davanagere hospital said Lamani was in good health, MLA B P Harish claimed that a scan had shown blot clot in the head. Also, many of his supporters were arriving at the hospital, making it difficult for the management and hence, he was shifted to Bengaluru, sources said.

Rudrappa Lamani sustained injuries on the forehead, face and knee after a motorcycle rider brushed him near JJ Hali in Hiriyur taluk of Chitradurga district on Friday. Lamani had stopped his car beside the highway to relieve himself when the accident occurred.
