80 pc work completed on country’s biggest Metro station at Jayadeva

BENGALURU: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has completed 80 per cent of the work on the country’s largest Metro station at Jayadeva Hospital in the city.

The cost of the Jayadeva Metro Station project is Rs 130 crore and work was taken up in five phases.

The country’s largest Metro station is being built near Jayadeva Hospital. The cost of the project is Rs 130 crore and work was taken up in five phases. This station will have interchange connectivity just like the Majestic Metro Station, a flyover, an underpass and two Metro lanes above it. Both the pink and yellow lines will pass through the Jayadeva Metro station. In the fourth phase, the yellow line will connect Ragigudda and Central Silk Board while in the fifth phase, the pink line will connect Bannerghatta and Dairy Circle.

The Jayadeva Metro Station work will be completed by this year.

The Metro Station will have basic amenities like ticket counters, customer care and many more inside. Most of the work on the Metro station has already been completed and the remaining work is on in full swing. The building work is likely to be completed by May or June this year and once done, vehicular traffic will be allowed on the flyover.
