GADAG: A 55-year-old man allegedly impregnated his 16-year-old daughter after sexually abusing her over the last one year in Mulagund police limits. The accused Ramesh has since been arrested and booked under the POCSO Act.
The issue came to light after the girl got pregnant. She has been admitted to the GIMS Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
According to the victim, Ramesh had threatened her not to disclose about the sexual assault to anyone and had warned that he would murder her is she revealed about the assault. A case has been registered at the Mulagund police station and further investigation is under way.
