BENGALURU: At least six vehicles were damaged in a serial accident on the Airport Road flyover around 9 pm on Monday.
The serial accident occurred after the vehicle in front braked leading to the vehicles coming from behind colliding into one after another. One tipper, four cars and one Tempo Traveller passenger van suffered damage in the accident. Traffic police immediately cleared vehicles after incident and fortunately, there was no loss of life in incident.
In another serial accident on outskirts of Chikkaballapur city on Tuesday, a goods vehicle collided with a pickup truck on National Highway-44 leading to a traffic jam. This caused another accident with a tipper lorry colliding with another lorry which was stopped.
Three people who were injured in accident are undergoing treatment at Chikkaballapur district hospital. The goods vehicle and the pickup truck were transporting tomatoes from Pavagada to Kolar.
The goods vehicle transporting tomatoes which had first broken down on highway. The driver then called his friend who came in the pickup truck, but collided with the goods vehicle. Tomatoes were scattered on highway due to the accident and the Chikkaballapur police had to deploy an excavator to clear the tomatoes.
