CHITRADURGA: Three people of a family died after the car in which they were travelling crashed into a truck near Gollarahatti in Vijayapura district on Monday. Five others, who were injured, were shifted to the Chitradurga district hospital.
While two people died on the spot, a two-year-old girl child died in the hospital. The deceased were identified as Tabassum (28), her daughter Fathima (02) and Zakir Ahmed (60), a relative.
The family, hailing from HSR Layout in Bengaluru, had been to Goa and was on the way back when the accident occurred. The Bharamasagar police have registered a case.
