TUMAKURU: About 20 heads of cattle, which were allegedly being transported illegally in a truck to a slaughter house, were rescued by Bajrang Dal activists near the toll plaza here.
The cattle were being transported to Bengaluru from Chitradurga via Tumakuru and the cattle were tied up in a inhuman manner. Based on specific information, the activists intercepted the truck.
A case has been registered at the Kyasandra police station under the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, 2020.
