BENGALURU: After North Indians, it is now the turn of Malayalees to show arrogance against Kannadigas in Bengaluru by resorting to rowdyism.
Two Malayalee men came in a cab on Friday evening and illegally entered a private property in Electronics City Phase 2. When the land owner, retired BMTC conductor Ramachandra, stopped and questioned them, the Malayalees attacked him.

The two Malayalee men were allegedly under the influence of drugs. An argument ensued between Ramachandra and the youths over entering his property which escalated and they attacked Ramachandra with a knife.

After the assault, they attempted to flee in the cab. The act of the two men was captured on CCTV cameras. Due to a traffic jam on the road, the youth got stuck and they barged into a nearby bakery. Holding a bottle in hand, they created a ruckus by throwing it at people.

They shouted, “I am a Malayalee, if there are any Malayalees here, come help me”. They again assaulted two people who tried to intervene. Harish and Shiva were injured while trying to stop them. When locals tried to catch the men, they attacked whoever they could. Locals locked them inside the bakery and handed them over to Parappana Agrahara police.

Small packets were found in the Malayalees’ bag, suspected to be packets of narcotic substances. The injured retired BMTC conductor Ramachandra is undergoing treatment.
