CHITRADURGA: Two people died on the spot and one person was injured in a serial accident involving two cars and a lorry on National Highway-48 near Doddasidavvanahalli in Chitradurga taluk on Friday.
The lorry driver, who was driving at high speed and carelessly, crashed into two cars. Due to the impact, the cars were completely mangled. Gopi (43), a car driver from Bengaluru, and another car driver, Pavan (23), who were in the cars, died at the spot.
Another person in the car, Manjunath, was injured and has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. The Chitradurga Rural police visited the spot and have registered a case.
