CHIKKAMAGALUR: Two people, including a three-year-old child, died after their car collided head-on with a Tempo Traveller near Mathighatta Cross in Kadur taluk on the Bengaluru-Shivamogga national highway. Seven people from Kerala, who ere travelling in the Tempo Traveller, were also injured.
The deceased have been identified as Giridhar (46) and Mayank (3). Giridhar and his family members were on their way to attend a relative’s wedding when their car hit the Tempo Traveller coming to Chikkamagalur from Kerala.
Due to the impact of the collision, the Tempo Traveller overturned, leaving seven people injured. They were shifted to a hospital in Shivamogga for treatment. A case was registered at the Kadur police station.
