TUMAKURU: A drunk youth allegedly raped a six-year-old girl when no one was at her house, in Koratagere. He has since been absconding.
Pavan (17), hailing from ID Halli, grabbed the girl who was playing hopscotch outside her house and raped her. When the girl screamed, neighbours ran to her rescue and Pavan immediately fled the scene. He was working at a hotel in Koratagere.
The girl was rushed to the government hospital in Koratagere and then shifted to the district hospital in Tumakuru. Senior police officers visited the spot and a case under the POCSO Act.
