BENGALURU: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for 17 districts over the next five days and said that rain will be accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
Some parts of Bengaluru may see cloudy weather while some districts received good rainfall, the IMD said and warned people to be careful.
The 17 districts including Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, Vijayapura and Ballari are likely to receive good rainfall.
According to the weather forecast, there may be heavy downpour with wind speed reaching 40 kmph accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru city, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Mandya, Ramanagara, Shivamogga and Tumakuru.
