16-year-old approaches police after parents plan wedding, rescued

CHITRADURGA: A 16-year-old girl, whose parents were preparing to get her married, showed courage and lodged a complaint at the Molakalmuru police station.

The girl was rescued by the child welfare officials and sent to a welfare home. The officials also summoned the parents and advised them not to get her married until she attains majority.
