BIDAR: A YouTuber in Bidar attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills, alleging harassment by police officers, including SP Pradeep Gunti.
The YouTuber, Salman Khan, went live on Facebook, accusing the police of continuous harassment and threatening to shut down his YouTube channel. He claimed that the SP had summoned him to the office, assaulted him in front of others and threatened him.
In the live video, Khan broke down saying he couldn’t take it anymore and was attempting suicide. He consumed 12 sleeping pills and was rushed to BRIMS hospital for treatment. Khan alleged that the police were trying to silence him and demanded action against the officers involved.
The incident has sparked outrage, with many calling for an investigation into the conduct of the police.
