CHIKKABALLAPUR: A youth, who dumped garbage on the road in Chikkaballapur town, had his two-wheeler seized by the municipal authorities. The incident occurred on Kandawara Road when the youth was seen dumping garbage in a plastic cover on the road.
When questioned by the municipal staff, the youth refused to pay the fine, saying “Pay the fine? Do what you want. I just did what everyone else is doing”. The municipal staff seized the bike and fined the young man for littering. While taking out the scooter keys, it scratched a woman municipal official, Shilpa Suresh, causing injuries to her fingers.
The officer had tried to stop the young man from dumping garbage, but he argued with her and refused to pay the fine. The authorities eventually seized the bike, and the youth was warned to pay the fine.
