Youths pop wheelies, abuse woman car driver for questioning them

BENGALURU: A woman has alleged that she was harassed and abused by two youths on a motorcycle while she was driving a car with her family on Outer Ring Road in Nagarabhavi. The incident occurred around 11:40 pm on Sunday night.

Neethu Baligar, has alleged that two youths on a motorcycle, which did not have a registration number plate, were popping wheelies on the road at night. They allegedly used abusive language her when she questioned them and fled the scene when she started capturing their photos.

The woman has filed a complaint with the police, along with a photo of the bike tagging the social media handle of Bengaluru City Police and has requested strict action against the accused. The police are investigating the matter. Taking to social media platform ‘X’, the victim, Nitu Balegar, shared her experience of goons popping wheelies at night.

Nitu Balegar wrote, addressing the City police, “Hai head of bangalore police these people are raging me and my family while im driving my car on nagarabhavi ring road near malai mahadeshwara temple at 11:40 pm sunday 07/07/2024 with vehicle number KA10EE7234 DUKE bike and another 2 wheeler @DCPTrWestBCP, @CPBlr, @DgpKarnataka”

“Now a days, this road is full of wheeling and raging goondas without number plates on the side of vehicles. There is no safety for ordinary people in Bangalore city. There is no police on these roads to protect ordinary people from these kinds of people badly abusing who came to help me and tried to snatch my mobile while taking photos of them. Dear Police Commissioner, there is no safety for common people in Bangalore; please make proper arrangements for law and order by arresting these culprits; those boys were fully drunken and talking bad”, she further added.

The city police responded immediately following the complaint and said, “We have forwarded your complaint to @APNagarBCP to take necessary action in this regard. Kindly provide your contact details via DM. In case of distress/ emergency situation, dial #Namma 112”.
