BALLARI: A day after a provocative audio clip threatening Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil emerged, a video has surfaced on Instagram where a youth, on the handle @Bijapur_Foundation, calls for beheading while saying ‘Gustaki Nabi Ka Ek Hi Saza, Sar Tan Se Juda’.
The youth, identified as Suhail, can be heard saying Muslims should not tolerate criticism of Prophet Mohammed and calls for all Muslims to come together. “Our fight is against the termite Yatnal and we are ready to give up our lives for the prophet”.
He also said that they are not against any religion, but against bad elements. He also made a request to the police to arrest Yatnal. However, after Public TV reported about the provocative video, Suhail deleted it from Instagram.
Meanwhile, Muslim leaders held a press conference today and declared that they are not aware of the person whose voice can be heard in the provocative audio clip. They demanded that the police investigate the case and take action against the youth.
Muslim leader M C Mullah said, “This may have been done to gain the sympathy of the BJP high command and to deny permission for our rally. I was with Yatnal earlier and I know his tactics”.
The Muslim leaders also said that the police should investigate the case of the Instagram video and take action against the guilty. “We will meet the SP and demand a probe”, they said.
On Friday, an audio clip was circulated where a youth calls for Muslims to come together to protest against Yatnal’s speech at Bani Oni in Hubballi. In the audio, the youth calls for a rally to barge into Yatnal’s house on April 15 which has been planned from Ambedkar Circle.
While insisting that Yatnal should be arrested, the unidentified youth also calls for beheading (Sar Tan Se Juda). “April 15 will be Yatnal’s final day and he will go to Jannat”, he can be heard saying.
