BENGALURU: A young man who had recently returned home after completing his education abroad has shot himself dead in Devashettyhalli village near Hoskote in Bengaluru Rural district.
The deceased, identified as Baiyesh (28), had reportedly used his father’s single-barrel gun to shoot himself in the head at their farmhouse.
Sources said that Baiyesh committed suicide when the other family members had left for Tirupati, and he had stayed back at home, citing work. When the family members and workers heard the gunshot, they rushed to the farmhouse and found Baiyesh lying in a pool of blood.
The police were informed and a case has been registered. Bengaluru Rural SP CK Baba said that the deceased Baiyesh committed suicide with a licenced gun. “An investigation is under way to find out whether he committed suicide by shooting himself. It is said that his father had recently given the youth Rs 30 lakh. There is a suspicion that he shot himself because of financial losses. A case has been registered based on the complaint of his father”, the SP said.
