Youth ends life over not getting govt job in Davanagere village

DAVANAGERE: A 26-year-old graduate from Guddadalingannanhalli village in Jagalur taluk, took his own life by hanging as he had been struggling to find a government job despite completing his degree and appearing for various competitive exams.

Anjinappa was found hanging from a saree his mother had hung to dry in their house. The family had been unaware of his intentions, and his mother had last seen him the previous night.

Anjinappa was reportedly frustrated with his job prospects, often expressing his disappointment to friends and spending long hours studying for competitive exams.

His room was filled with books. The police have registered a case, and the incident has sent shockwaves in the village.
