BENGALURU: A 21-year-old youth was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Cunningham Road around 10.30 pm on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Ayush Appayya.
Ayush was riding a Honda Dio scooter from Kalpana Junction towards Chandrika Junction, when an unknown vehicle hit him near Waqf Board. The driver of the unidentified fled the scene.
Ayush suffered severe head injuries and was declared dead while being taken to a nearby hospital. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the High Grounds traffic police station. The traffic police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.
