BENGALURU: In a case of suspected lock-up death, a youth died in the custody of the Cottonpet police in the wee hours on Thursday.
Vinod (23) had a warrant against him in a case and was detained by the police on Wednesday. Around 3.30 am on Thursday, he was found in an unconscious state in the holding cell.
He was immediately shifted to Bowring and Lady Curzon hospital where he was declared dead. A case has been registered against the police personnel involved.
