CHIKKAMAGALUR: A former vice-president of Youth Congress of Aldur hobli, identified as Aditya, was allegedly thrashed by his own party workers in Chikkamagaluru for allegedly indecently texting women, including wives of his acquaintances.
Aditya is accused of harassing a woman by editing her photos and sharing them with her friends. The woman had lodged a complaint against him, leading to his arrest. Aditya had been in touch with the woman and had been sending her messages and threatening her of life to force her into a sexual relationship.
The police have registered a case against Aditya under Sections 75(2), 78, 67, and 67(c) of the BNS and taken into custody. The incident has sparked controversy, with many questioning how a Congress leader could indulge in such behavior. The police have assured that action will be taken against Aditya.
