YADGIR: A police sub-inspector (PSI) in Yadgir district has been suspended for befriending a notorious history-sheeter, identified as Nagaraj Jugur, and even celebrating his birthday.
Sub-inspector Rajasekhar Rathod was caught on camera celebrating a birthday with Nagaraj, cutting a cake together. The PSI was suspended by Yadgir SP Prithvik Shankar after an investigation revealed that he had engaged in misconduct and violated departmental rules.
Rajasekhar Rathod celebrated with history-sheeter Nagaraj and was also playing cards with him inside the police station premises. Following an inquiry, which found Rathod guilty of dereliction of duty and indiscipline, he was suspended from service and a departmental inquiry ordered.
